by Illinois Real Estate Journal ReportsChicago-> DuPageFannie May Confections, Two Bostons Pet Boutique & Gourmet Bakery, and Pizza Fusion all have made lease commitments to open locations in Naperville's new Springbrook Prairie Pavilion. The 270,000 square foot shopping center is located on a 27-acre site at the northwest corner of 75th Street and Fort Hill Drive. The property is being developed by Bond Companies along with its joint venture partner, MDC Properties of Hinsdale. Fannie May will occupy 1,200 square feet of space. The company has 62 retail outlets in the Midwest and plans to open 73 by the end of the year. The Springbrook Prairie location will open in early November and will reflect Fannie May's new store design incorporating red and white awnings into a warm contemporary interior with dark woods and red walls. Two Bostons Pet Boutique & Gourmet Bakery will open its second location and offer collars, clothing, toys and food in its nearly 2,700 square foot space. It is slated to open November 1. Pizza Fusion will occupy 2.000 square feet when it opens its first Illinois location in the Springbrook Prairie Pavilion in November. Pizza Fusion, based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, has more than 75 locations in 15 states which feature an organic menu of gourmet pizza, sandwiches, salads and appetizers. Construction for Springbrook Prairie Pavilion began in June of 2007. The new center features a central plaza integrated into the design that adds a new retail lifestyle experience, including use for events, programs and other gatherings. Springbrook Prairie Pavilion also is designed as a pedestrian-friendly shopping center, with bike paths and sidewalks leading to the Du Page County Forest Preserve. It is the first retail development in Du Page County to pursue LEED Silver Certification. More Articles
