MedProperties Group breaks ground on medical office facility

Chicago-based MedProperties Group has broken ground for the Lockport Crossings Medical Center, a three-story, 54,000-square-foot medical center at at 159th Street and Thornton Road in Lockport, Ill.

The Lockport Crossings Medical Center is approximately 60 percent leased with four primary care physicians, a full imaging center which will include MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Bone Density and Mammography as well as a Sleep Center, a Pain Clinic and a Pediatric and Adult Rehab unit.

A major Health System will be the anchor tenant in the Medical Center. MedProperties is marketing approximately 20,000 square feet to other physicians and medical users.

MedProperties Group will own and manage the property. It is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2009.
