Town & Country recently moved into its new space, joining a growing list of healthcare providers at Blackhawk/Halsted, including Advocate Health Centers, Pine Dental, Associated Allergists and Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group, which is opening a new pediatric and internal medicine office at the development in spring 2009. The environmentally-friendly development, which features a contemporary glass and metal design by Valerio Dewalt Train Associates, is a candidate for LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The development is also home to the British School of Chicago and outdoor gear retailer REI, which occupy a combined 105,000 square feet. According to Michael Drew, co-founder of Structured Development LLC, Blackhawk/Halsted's 70,000 square feet of medical office space is now 70-percent leased, and the entire development is 80-percent leased.
