David A. Bercu, principal; Jonathan D. Kohn, associate, all with Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler Inc.'s Industrial Services Group, represented Washington Properties in a 45,852-square-foot lease to Advance Auto Parts Inc. at 11222 Melrose Avenue, Franklin Park, Ill.

11222 Melrose Avenue, also known as Franklin Park Distribution Center, is a 73,160-square-foot warehouse facility completed in 2007. Fronting I-294 in Franklin Park, the building features 30" clear ceiling height, ESFR sprinkler system, and 17 exterior docks. Remaining available space at the property totals 27,000 square feet.

Advance Auto Parts needed a new Midwest auto parts distribution center. The company is expected to fully occupy the facility in early-2009, however, the Village of Franklin Park granted the company early temporary occupancy while the 1,500-square-foot office space was being constructed. Advance Auto Parts selected the building for its core I-294 location and highway frontage.

Dan McGillicuddy of Jones Lang LaSalle represented the tenant in this transaction.

Colliers B&K also represented Colony Realty Partners in a 26,823-square-foot new lease to Roman Inc. at 565 Fullerton Avenue, Carol Stream, Illinois.

Brian W. Kling, vice president with Colliers B&K represented Colony.
