Adolfson & Peterson Construction to Open New Class A Headquarters at the Colonnade in Golden Valley, MN
Minneapolis, MN – October 4, 2018 – Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) today announced that the company has outgrown its current headquarters building in St. Louis Park and will relocate this fall to The Colonnade, the iconic 16-story Class A office tower in Golden Valley, Minnesota that was built by AP in 1988. This strategic relocation provides room for growth and the opportunity to create a more engaging environment for their 212 regional employees including services provided for the additional 390 employees across the country.
“This move to a Class A corporate headquarters will set us up for success and allow us to continue growing our business. We needed client-ready space for our customers and partners to visit and collaborate,” said Jeff Hansen, CEO.
The firm will be subleasing the entire 6th floor from Pentair, which will retain its corporate headquarters in the building, with plans to occupy the 23,633-square-foot space before the end of the year. AP will repurpose most of the existing furniture and fixtures in the space, while making customizations to reflect the company’s culture and brand.
AP has been located at its current office in St. Louis Park since the firm built the facility in 1962. They have made various renovations and additions over the years, but due to continued growth both locally and across the U.S., the time had come to look for a new home. While considering several options in the area, the opportunity to move into a building that they originally built proved most compelling. The full floor provides AP ample runway for growth, and the building’s Class A amenities– covered parking, training and conferencing center, on-site restaurant, and fitness facility – will allow the company to build on its strong company culture and attract the industry’s top talent for years to come.
CBRE’s Tyler Kollodge represented AP in the new lease. The Colonnade is also leased and managed by CBRE.
